About Luquado
A self-taught composer, producer, and musician living in New York City, Luquado has been writing and performing for over 15 years. His styles range from electronica to jazz; from rock to gentle piano; from simple melodies with few instruments to orchestral arrangements.
Luquado’s music has been heard at clubs in Dallas, New York, Cleveland/Akron, Chicago, and Toronto. Luquado has provided the background music or score cues for a handful of independent films, and been used as incidental music in several films and student projects.
Besides his own pieces, Luquado has produced and/or mixed for several bands and their releases, in addition to performing in many bands and groups over the years. Most recently, Luquado was a part of the band ultrasound, first place winners of the 2007 Docs Who Rock concert sponsored by The United Way.
Luquado initially got started with electronic instruments in 1994, and since that time has worked to set up a complete project studio merging acoustic instruments with virtual instruments. Luquado performs the majority of sounds on his releases, including keyboards & programming, guitar, drums, vocals, and often woodwinds or percussion.
